Diabetes Group Class
About
Our Diabetes Exercise Group is a professionally supervised small group program designed for adults living with Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, or pre-diabetes.
These sessions are led by Accredited Exercise Physiologists and focus on helping you improve blood sugar control, build strength, and feel more confident with exercise — all in a safe, supportive environment.

Improve Your Blood Sugar, Strength & Confidence
Regular, structured exercise is one of the most effective ways to manage diabetes. Our program is designed to help you:
- Improve blood glucose control and stability
- Increase strength, fitness, and overall physical capacity
- Reduce fatigue and improve daily energy levels
- Support weight management and cardiovascular health
- Lower the risk of diabetes-related complications
- Build confidence exercising safely with diabetes

Small Group, Highly Supervised Exercise
Each session runs for 40 minutes and is limited to a maximum of 4 participants, allowing for:
- Close supervision by an Exercise Physiologist
- Individualised exercise progressions
- A safe environment for managing blood sugar levels during exercise
- Ongoing support, education, and guidance
Personalised Exercise Programs for Diabetes
Before starting group classes, all clients complete an initial 1:1 consultation with one of our allied health professionals.
During this session, we:
- Assess your current fitness, strength, and functional capacity
- Review your diabetes management and any relevant health considerations
- Identify your goals (e.g. blood sugar control, weight management, strength)
- Develop a personalised exercise program tailored specifically to you
Your program is then completed within our group sessions, with ongoing monitoring and progression to ensure you continue to improve safely.
